There are many ways to transfer files from your iPhone (iOS) to MAC PC but one of the best method is to do some settings in iPhone and MAC and create a wireless setup to send and receive files.
Step 1 : Enabling File Sharing in MacOS.
1. Open “System Preferences” on your MAC PC.
2. Click on “Sharing”
3. Enable “File Sharing Service” by tick “File Sharing” option in “Service” Column.
4. Now Click on “Options” and activate “Share files and folders using SMB”.
5. Also Enable “Window File Sharing” for all available accounts.
Step 2 : Connect iOS device to MAC
Now we are going to connect iOS device to MAC using SMB Protocol.
1. Open “Files” in iPhone.
2. Click on three dots (…) on top right corner and click on “Connect to Server”
3. In “Server” column
type the IP address of your MAC PC.
Note : To know your MAC PC IP address à Go to Properties of Connected Network and Check IP address.
4. Click on “Connect”.
5. Now Select Options in “Connect As” either “Guest” or “Registered User”.
6. Enter “Name and Password”.
Note : This Name and Password is your MAC User Account Login “User Name and Password”.
7. Click On “Next”.
8. Now you are connected your iOS device to Windows PC using the SMB protocol, it will appear in the “Cloud services” section of the “Connections” screen in iOS device.
9. You can utilize the built-in file manager in iOS device to Move or Copy files to PC and vice versa.
